Join us on a Ride Out. 3rd July. P & O Grand Event Ride Out. 3rd July. To celebrate 175 years in the Cruise business P&O are holding a Grand Nautical Event in Southampton on Tuesday the 3rd of July. This will be an evening Ride Out and will be lead by our Ride Out Regular, Dave Payne. Being and Old Sea Dog himself he knows the best vantage point to see this once in a lifetime spectacle. The whole P&O Cruise Fleet will all be assembled together for the first time ever, in Southampton water before departing for locations around the World. There will also be an appearance by The Red Arrows. (Hopefully not in the water). The plan is to meet at The Golden Arches at Coryton Interchange, Junction 32 of the M4 for a 2pm departure. Travel down through Warminster into the New Forest with a few stops along the way to arrive at Calshot for approximately 6pm. This will be in time for the Grand Event to cruise by at 7.20pm. (See the location map above). For the return journey we will depart approximately 8pm to the M4 via Salisbury Plain, Devizes and Chippenham getting back to Cardiff about 11.30pm. Dave estimates the mileage to be around 260 miles. This trip will include some motorway so, sorry, no L plates for this one.
