A Tricky Junction.
If you are due to take your Mod 2 test in Newport, then bear this junction in mind. It is used ocassionaly during the test route.
You may find yourself approaching down the hill on the road coming in from the left, and be asked to turn right.
A number of times candidates have misread the road markings and treat the centre island as a carriageway divider (with one way traffic on each side – which is not the case), and they find themselves positioned on the ‘wrong side’ of the road when they reach the give way lines.
Take your time in areas you are not familiar with and have a good look at the road markings on the approach.
I hope that helps. From: http://ift.tt/1hd7ojD
