Mike went for his Mod 2 test in Merthyr today. All kitted up he left the test centre, followed by the Examiner on his job bike.
Ten minutes later they roll back into the car park (not a good sign), for the examiner to say he’s got a puncture. We check his rear tyre and there it was! A bloody nail!
So the test was terminated with no result, only to be rescheduled.
Direct Access Training today Jonathan takes a break at Hannah’s Diner on the A48 at Cowbridge Downs.
Could Hannah’s be the New Norm’s Cafe?
Jonathan had a great day in preparation for his Mod 1 test next Sunday in Brighton. Unusual for Sunday tests but it has to fit in with Jonathan’s work over in Dublin, so exciting times for him….. But breakfast first! From: http://ift.tt/1hd7ojD
So they said. Here is Ashley & Mike all smiles after passing their Mod 1 tests at their first attempt today.
Six soaking pairs of gloves later and Mike did get some funny looks in the toilet at McDonald’s as he had the hand dryer blowing down the front of his trousers to dry his pants out!
Two great results for them in horrible conditions. Great spirit. Well done. From: http://ift.tt/1hd7ojD
As the song goes, you won’t find me complaining. (Because I’m going back in the classroom. Jeff prepares Mikaela & Ivor for their Step Up Day, moving up from their 125s to the 600s.
Both keen to get going. Both are members of the Dragon Bikers Forum which you can find online, and maybe follow their exploits.
In the meantime they are heading out on the road to find a warm and dry Biker’s Cafe somewhere! From: http://ift.tt/1hd7ojD
Sam & Aaron start their Cbt today with Dixie, with a talk about protective clothing. The kettle’s boiled, the heaters are on full blast and out on the yard our Direct Access students are already soaking wet!
CBT today, Instructors Dixie & Jeff brief the students on the Emergency Stop exercise. Gethin, Billy, Martyn & Hannah enjoying the dry spell before the storm comes in later.
All took easily to the bikes on the training site and are looking forward to taking their skills out on the road this afternoon.
